The Nashville Chapter was established in 2007 to support the role of the business analysis practitioners. The Nashville Chapter provides business analysts opportunities to enhance their knowledge and develop professionally via chapter luncheons and educational seminars; provide networking opportunities for both business analysis professionals and corporations in the Middle Tennessee Area.

Business Analyst

This is a dynamic role responsible for analysis supporting Data Warehouse, Analytics, and Business Intelligence solution development to support a wide variety of Business analytics needs across TEKsystems stakeholders. This role will analyze data from TEKsystems’s information systems, develop or support development of solutions, and assist other team members and stakeholders in their use and understanding of TEKsystems’s data and Business Intelligence solutions.

The Tennessee Department of Treasury impacts the lives of Tennesseans every day. Treasury is responsible for many of the financial operations of state government, including managing more than $50 billion in assets through its various investment programs. We administer the State’s Retirement Program, RetireReadyTN, which combines the state pension plan, Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, and the State’s Deferred Compensation plan.

IT Business Analyst

About the Position:
The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, defining, analyzing and documenting requirements, assisting with developing technical solutions to business problems, in addition to managing resources and schedules, facilitating requests, analyzing documents and maintaining system processes and procedures. The IT BA will directly manage some small projects including Infrastructure Environment builds alongside a project manager.

Position Overview for the Business Analyst:
Gather requirements and necessary project info
Create and develop requirements documents and user stories
Communicate processes, objectives, and timelines to necessary parties involved
Work closely with the Project Manager to outline project scope, timeline, expectations, etc.
Work closely with the Development and QA Teams

Business Analyst

Top Three Skills: 1. 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst working in supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles, specifically with new development projects from scratch. Analyst should have first hand experience gathering requirements from users, specifically from client. Also, need to have created mock-ups or process flows using tools such as TFS or JIRA for managing backlog.

We are actively speaking with applicants that have a minimum of 4 years of related field experience:
• High level of understanding of IT Business Analyst industry standards and best-practices
• Must be proficient within SQL (build basic queries, ability to modify existing)
• Industry experience preferred: healthcare
• Ability to build workflows, flowcharts, and other documentation
• Proven experience supporting software projects
